About the Team you will be working in
- Predominately based at our project office in Pontoon Dock, the planning team is a key support function to the project management team. Through organisation and sequencing we manage the life cycle of the project, to ensure we complete on time, within budget and safely.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Essential Criteria
- A Level EEE - Must include Mathematics and preferably a Science in either Chemistry or Physics (UCAS points: 48)
Or
- T-level (Pass or above) in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning. (UCAS points: 72)
Or
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma MPP in an Engineering subject area or Construction and Built Environment area (Must include Mathematics and Further Mathematics) (UCAS points: 64)
Or
- BTEC Level 3 National Diploma MM in an Engineering subject area, with a minimum of merit in Mathematics and Further Mathematics. (UCAS points: 64)
Or
- Civil Engineering Technician level 3 apprenticeship MP (UCAS points: 48) alongside grade Pass or Distinction at EPA
And must have
5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (Grade 4)

Apprenticeship Details
Provider – London Southbank University
Qualification – Civil Engineering Senior Technician Apprenticeship HNC
Length of apprenticeship – 24 months + 12 months End Point Assessment
Teaching Method – Day release, 1 day per week

As a Civil Engineering Apprentice, you’ll support the planning, design and delivery of projects that shape the world around us. This could include buildings, public spaces, roads, railways, bridges, water systems and renewable energy projects.
You’ll learn how to apply engineering principles while working alongside experienced professionals. This will involve helping to review drawings and data, carrying out calculations, and supporting the team to find practical solutions to real engineering challenges.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll develop your technical skills and understanding of how projects are delivered, while gaining hands-on experience across different stages of the process. You’ll also learn how to work safely, follow industry standards, and contribute to delivering high-quality, sustainable outcomes.
