What will you be doing?
Your journey begins on the front line, where theory meets practice. You will be strategically placed at one of our project sites working alongside qualified professionals in your field. Here you won’t just observe your role; you will dive in, deploying your professional skills and unwavering diligence.
You’ll initially join our Energy business unit, where we help our customers make the most of their existing assets as well as building significant new assets as part of a major upgrade of the nation’s transmission network – our specialism is major projects in overhead lines, substations and underground cabling.
As a Graduate Environmental Advisor, you’ll be exposed to a broad range of activities designed to equip you with both breadth and depth of technical knowledge. From supporting consents and legal work through to being in the thick of our site-based operations providing tactical support, advice and direction, you’ll have high levels of responsibility and impact early in your career.
We will empower you to ensure the continuous improvement of environmental performance in line with relevant standards and client expectations, as part of our Responsible Business model. You will play a vital role in supporting our project teams to help improve the environment not just by minimizing the impacts of our operations but also by delivering sustainable infrastructure and buildings.
As your expertise starts to develop, you will gather, analyse and present data to support the identification of trends and opportunities to improve.

What are we looking for?
We’re open to applications from individuals who are looking to build an exciting and impactful career.
You’ll need:
- To be able to commit to travelling independently to sites and be able to stay away from home for short and long periods - our projects are UK-wide and can be in rural and remote locations.
- The ability to drive
- An Environmental Science/Management or closely related degree at a 2:1 or above.
- Ideally some exposure to a construction/engineering environment.
- To be keen to apply your knowledge practically, and often at pace
- To be a confident and assertive communicator who thrives on working in a team environment but is comfortable to challenge and question the status quo
- An adaptable mindset and a positive approach to challenges and problem solving
- A willingness to learn with a strong interest in professional growth and personal development.
- To be goal oriented with excellent time management skills and the ability to work towards tight deadlines.
- A strong focus on, and commitment to, safety

Starting Salary – £32,305, plus car/car allowance, incentive scheme and a range of competitive benefits
